Just as for the RS:X Worlds and Europeans, the RS:X Youth European and U21 Championships will be scored on line so the whole world will be able to watch the championship develop buoy by buoy, race by race.
Parents, friends, sponsors and the media will be able to log on, pay a minimal amount and receive ‘alerts’. Every time your chosen sailor finishes a race, you will then automatically receive either an e-mail or an SMS message.
E-mail messages take the form of the results down to the finishing position of your chosen sailor. It will also list the sailors yet to finish and the time that they have in which to finish.
This is a great promotion for RS:X Youth Racing. During the recent RS:X European Championship more than 5,000 individuals were visiting our event microsite daily to view races and see the results. Whilst we are not expecting such a high volume at the Youth Europeans, we are certainly expecting to welcome new friends to the world of RS:X Youth racing.
More details of where you can log on to receive ‘alerts’ will be published closer to July 26th, the start date of this our first RS:X Youth European Championships…. Stand by!
