Bimba won the medal race at the Semaine Olympique Francaise and the title of overall winner
2nd in the medal race was Julien Bontemps who jumps from 4th overall to 2nd in a finely judged last charge to the top. Third was Antoine Cordonnier (FRA) who retains 10th spot overall.
The nearly man, Casper Bouman (NED) came 10th in the medal race and drops to 4th overall. Having lead the regatta all week, he has just missed the tougher qualification standard by 2 points set by his federation but on the plus side he did make top 6. He has to repeat this to gain selection for Quindao either at the Europeans in Brest, or in Holland or finally in Kiel.
Dorian Van Rijsselberghe (NED) held it all together to take 4th in the medal race and jump to 5th overall so he too has achieved the first part of the qualification criteria set by the KNWV. These two will take their privaye battle on to the RS:X Europeans which start in Brest next week. However it must be worrying for all concerned that Casper seemed to blow up in the light stuff at the end of the regatta
