RS:X Class Active Member (National Class Association -NCA) shall confirm their appointed delegate or nominated proxy for the EGM by the President or Secretary of the represented NCA and authorise that person to vote on any submission on their behalf. Said authorisation shall be received by email sent to [email protected] by 2400hrs UTC on 10th September 2014.

The 2014 RS:X Class AGM will be staged in Cesme, Turkey on Tuesday July 1st during the 2014 RS:X European & Youth European Championships.
The place and time will be specified in a notice to be posted on the ONB at the regatta venue.
The time to send a submission and a nomination for a class positions finished on 27th May 2014.

ELECTIONS
We have received 3 valid nominations for two Vice President positions and 1 valid nomination for a Treasurer’s position, all supported by at least three Full Members as required by the RS:X Class Constitution 10.3.1.1.
All Full Members in ‘good standing’ (2014 Class Annual Membership Fee has been paid) with the RS:X Class are entitled to give their votes to nominees.
The ballot papers where you are asked to vote for two of the candidates will be send to the all Full Members by email on 3rd June 2014 latest. The ballot papers shall be returned and voting will be closed on 30th June 2014.

Born in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada Windsurfing International athlete and member of the Canadian Sailing Team (Olympic windsurfing class) from 2001 to 2012. Dominique Vallée starts windsurfing at the age of six years old. She has a black sail and level III coach. She is a Director and chief instructor of the Sailing school Club Multivoile 4 saisons in Trois-Rivières. 2007: Won the Pan Am games gold medal in Rio 2007 (RSX class). In 2009-2010: Worked as a TV presenter for the TV show Plan de match. In 2012: Published a book: Une vie à contre vent and got her kinesiology university degree. In 2013: Organized the Kona World Championship at the Multivoile 4 saisons club. Since 2012: Designs Stand Up Paddle and owns the DOSPORT company: www.dosport.ca . In 2013: Started with the Quebec federation a new windsurfing international program and currently hold the position of coach. Sports: windsurfing, SUP, Surf, snowboard (instructor), Karate (black belt), etc. |

As there was only 1 valid nomination for Treasures’s position then according to the RS:X Class Constitution 10.4.2, Raul Saubidet (ARG) shall be declared elected by acclamation without a vote.

Voting shall be by show of hands of each Full Member’s nominated delegates or their nominated proxies or by the Full Member’s vote cast by e-mail. Only Full Members in ‘good standing’ (2014 Class Annual Membership Fee has been paid) shall be eligible to vote.

Elections and Nominations
It should be noted that there will be an election to select the two Vice Presidents to hold office between 2014 and 2016. Under the RS:X Class constitution, the existing VP Nico Huguet (FRA) may stand for a further three terms of two years each. Nico have inidicated that he is standing for re-election. The second VP position is open for nominations.
The Class would like to welcome to send the nominations for the RS:X Class Vice President and Executive Committee member.
Those wishing to stand for election shall be a member of a RS:X national class association in good standing and be proposed by that full member.
Nominations shall be sent to the RS:X Executive Office by email to [email protected] before 1200 hrs UTC on 27th May 2014.
Nominations shall be supported by at least three full members (incl. proposed full member). Supportive letters shall be sent to the RS:X Executive Office by email as well.
