The 2012 RS:X Youth World Windsurfing Championships are dueywc2012
to start in Penghu, Chine Taipei in just 3 short weeks (Oct 20 - 27th)
with 65 athletes registered from 17 countries and 5 continents, this
is the first time that such a high level youth championship has been
staged in Asia by the RS:X Class.

Penghu has an awesome reputation for strong wind conditions and flat water so the race track should be fast and smoothe.

To assist the RS:X Class in their efforts to focus the spotlight on high level youth windsurf racing in Asia, Neil Pryde has generously provided 60 sets of free charter equipment with the freight costs being shared by the event organiser and the class.

In the youth men's fleet, the top three from the RS:X Youth European Windsurfing Championships in Tallinn, Estonia are scheduled to renew their struggle for supremacy. Pawel Tarnowski [POL], a two time RS:X Youth World Champion is aiming to make it a hat trick after a disappointing result at the ISAF Youths in Ireland. But Kieran Martin [GBR] and Mattia Camboni [ITA] are certain to push him all the way.

Over in the youth women's fleet, Saskia Sills [GBR], the 2012 ISAF Youth World Championship Gold medallist in the RS:X event will again be taking on all-comers. Anastasiya Valkevich [BLR] who took the bronze in Tallinn and Veronica Fanchiulli [ITA] will no doubt be making every effort to deny her the double.

Two close fought battles are in prospect with strong teams from Argentina, Hong Kong, Japan, Poland and Israel looking to get in on the action
