The RS:X Executive Committee met over 2 days to discuss
urgent current and future matters of the Class. We would like to thank the French Sailing Federation and it’s President Jean Pierre Champion for their hospitality in allowing to use of their offices and facilities to conduct this meeting.
At the last AGM the new format of racing was proposed. It was deeply discussed with the Class Principal Race Officer Robert Lamb and inserted in the Notice of Race for the 2013 RS:X Worlds. It was talked over again during the meeting and although the Class sees the urgency to introduce this new format as soon as possible, the decision was left for further consultations with the Class members through their representatives. The feedback will be taken into account when at the beginning of January the final decision on format for the Worlds will be made. New format and also equipment will be subjects of discussion during the next AGM.
The agenda for the 2013 RS:X AGM was proposed and it will be announced within few days. It was stated that the President Mike Dempsey and Vice President Piotr Hlavaty will stand down so the candidates are being invited to send in their nominations for these posts. It was also agreed to invite Anna Graczyk-Stankiewicz to handle the Class administration until the 2013 AGM as the Executive Secretary Rory Ramsden resigned from his position.
