Fantastic first day racing! Conditions were 14-15 knots, making a flat out drag race to the left side of the course with some interesting tactics at the top mark. A great day for GBR’s Nick Dempsey taking two bullets and a 2nd to NED’s Dorian Van Rijsselberge in the final race. For the women, FRA’s Charline Picon scored an equally impressive two 1st’s and a 2nd, to ITA’s Flavia Tartaglini.

The helicopter footage was awesome and there was a nice bit of carnage to watch at the men’s top mark. Looking forward to what tomorrow will bring! Well done to all the sailors!
