Flying to Oman
All major airlines fly into Muscat International Airport from Asia, India, Europe, Africa, Middle East, North and South America, Canada and Australia.
Oman Air, the Sultanate’s national carrier, offers direct flights from many cities in Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East.

Emirates Airlines covers almost every major city in the world and there are two connections daily between Dubai and Muscat, which is a 45-minute flight.

Etihad is the national airline of the UAE. Etihad offers competitive rates from many cities in Europe to Oman and operates two flights per day between Abu Dhabi and Muscat.

Qatar Airways flies to many of the major world cities and flies twice a day from Doha to Muscat.

Other international airlines that fly to Muscat International Airport include British Airways, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa, Jet Airways and Swiss Air.
Entry Visa Payment
Visitors eligible for Visa on Arrival are able to make visa payments at the Travelex Foreign Exchange bureau located in the Immigration Arrivals Hall, payments can be accepted in most currencies by cash only, an automatic receipt will be issued to the traveller this receipt is then presented at the immigration desk, this reduces the time and queues for processing.
Passengers with pre-arranged entry visas deposited at the airport, should collect their visa from the Oman Air Visa Collection Counter, located on the far side of the Immigration Arrivals Hall after departing the shuttle bus.
At busy times the entry/visa process can take a little while, please make sure you have your documentation and payment ready to speed up the process. It is your responsibility to make sure you are eligible and have the correct documentation for entry into Oman. Transportation of Video Equipment
Due to the Sultanate of Oman’s strict import rules, those intending to bring Television Video Cameras to the event must register in advance to acquire the necessary permits ahead of their arrival.
Please contact Oman Sail PR Manager Assim Al Saqri at by 5 October to ensure the equipment is not delayed at Muscat International Airport upon arrival. Failure to register will result in your equipment being held at by customs officials at the airport.
